Template overview
Understand reusable Page templates, the first template created during setup, and how to make the design your own.
DocumentationA template is a reusable design for personalized Pages. It combines layout, fixed copy, images, links, and variables that fill in information about you, your company, or a prospect. You can use the same template to create Pages for different prospects.
A template is the starting design; a Page is the personalized result you share with a particular prospect.
Your first template
During workspace setup, Start setup first builds the company’s Knowledge Base, then automatically generates the first template from the company website and that research. You do not need to create this first template manually.
Follow generation on Setup. When it succeeds, click View templates, or open Templates, to open your first design. If generation fails, return to Setup to review the error and retry the failed stage.
What a template contains
| Part | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Layout and fixed content | The sections, styling, and messaging reused across Pages. |
| Variables | Placeholders for sender, company, prospect, and other personalized values. |
| Images and links | Brand assets, supporting visuals, and the next action you want the prospect to take. |
| Link-preview content | The preview shown when a Page link is shared. |
Read Variables and input requirements to check what a template needs before generating Pages. The variables guide explains where those values come from.
Make the design your own
You can explore the template on desktop and mobile, then use the AI conversation to shape the style, layout, and call to action around the experience you have in mind. For example, you might ask for a more minimal design, a different section arrangement, or a more prominent booking button. See Edit and preview for ways to refine your design.
When you are ready to personalize it for a prospect, Create your first Page walks through the process. A sample preview shows the design; a generated Page brings in the prospect information and saved inputs.
Create or update templates
For another audience or campaign, follow Create a template.
Existing Pages render with their associated template, so editing a template can change Pages already shared with prospects. Review the impact before saving changes, and use Revision history and restore when you need an earlier version.
