Images and Page link previews

Template images, generated screenshots, and social link previews serve different purposes. Use each to shape how your Page appears in the browser and when shared.

Documentation

Choose the right image source

Use user_asset.<slug> for reusable uploaded images, user.company.logo for your company logo, and the relevant prospect fields for the recipient’s image or company logo. For optional prospect images, you can use a fallback image or conditionally hide the image block.

For example, use a real asset identifier copied from Landit:

<img src="{{ user_asset.product_image }}" alt="Product overview">

Give meaningful images alternative text. Keep informative text in the HTML rather than embedding all of it in an image.

The template can contain separate og_preview_content for the generated share image. You can customize its composition, typography, and imagery for the impression you want to create when sharing a link. A full Page screenshot and an Open Graph preview are separate outputs.

Diagnose image failures

A successful Page can coexist with a failed optional screenshot or OG-image stage. Check the final Page URL and the relevant stage separately. If a social platform shows an old preview, compare the current Page metadata and image with the platform’s cached result before editing the template again.

Read Assets and image variables for upload and sharing rules.
