Analytics and notifications

Notifications

Receive Page-visit alerts in Slack or through browser notifications, with direct links to connect Slack and enable your browser.

Documentation

Landit can notify you when a Page receives a visit. Choose Slack for updates in your connected workspace, browser push for desktop alerts, or enable both.

Connect Slack

Open the Slack integration in Landit and choose Connect Slack. You can also start the Slack connection directly.

  1. Sign in to the Slack workspace you want to connect.
  2. Follow Slack’s authorization prompts and choose the destination offered by the connection flow.
  3. Return to Landit to see the connected Slack workspace.

If your Slack workspace restricts app installation, its administrator can authorize the connection. Each Landit user connects their own Slack account. To change or remove the connection, return to the Slack integration.

Enable browser notifications

Open Preferences in the browser where you want to receive desktop alerts.

  1. Under Desktop notifications, choose Enable notifications.
  2. Allow notifications when your browser asks for permission.
  3. Choose Send test notification to try a desktop alert.

Each browser is enabled separately. Browser permissions and your operating system’s notification settings control how alerts appear. If notifications are blocked, you can allow them in the browser’s site settings and return to Preferences. Focus or do-not-disturb modes can also silence desktop alerts.

To turn browser push off, choose Disable notifications in Preferences. Signing out of Landit also turns off notifications for that browser.

When Page-visit alerts arrive

Visit alerts follow the Page’s visit count. Landit filters out bots and automated visits, and we continually improve our detection algorithms and agents to identify automated traffic. Activity excluded from the count, such as visits from a browser with the Landit Chrome extension enabled, does not trigger a Page-visit alert.
