Engagement overview
Understand Page visits and interactions, explore detailed activity through MCP, and exclude your own visits with the Chrome extension.
DocumentationLandit records activity on your Pages so you can understand how visitors engage and plan your follow-up. This includes visits, clicks, scrolling, mouse movement, browser information, and time spent with the Page visible.
What Landit tracks
| Activity | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Visits and sessions | When a Page is opened and the activity recorded during that session. |
| Clicks and links | Click locations, the elements clicked, and tracked link interactions. |
| Scrolling | Scroll positions and movement through the Page. |
| Mouse movement | Pointer positions as the visitor moves around the Page. |
| Visible time and tab activity | Time with the Page visible, along with visibility and focus changes. |
| Browser and display | Browser information, platform, viewport dimensions, and window resizing. |
| Navigation context | The Page URL, referring page, and available campaign query parameters. |
Activity is collected while the Page is open and saved in session snapshots. Landit filters out bots and automated visits. We continually improve our detection algorithms and agents to identify automated traffic.
Understand Page activity with MCP
For a detailed understanding of what is happening on a Page, use Landit’s MCP connection and the get_page_analytics tool. It retrieves the recorded sessions, interactions, and browser context for the Page you choose.
Once you have connected your assistant, you can ask:
Use get_page_analytics for the Landit Page with slug [page-slug].
Summarize its visits, clicks, scrolling, mouse movement, visible time,
and browser information. Highlight the activity that could help me
plan my next follow-up. Use stored analytics without opening the Page.
Replace [page-slug] with your Page’s slug, or ask the assistant to find the Page first. The MCP engagement guide explains the workflow. Analytics describe activity on the link; the link may also be opened by someone the recipient shares it with.
Keep your own visits out of the count
Install and keep the Landit Chrome extension enabled in the browser you use to open prospect Pages. Visits and interactions from that browser are excluded from Page analytics, including when you open a Page on your custom domain.
If you open a prospect’s live Page in a browser or browser profile without the extension enabled, that visit may count as visitor activity. Live links can be opened by both your team and your audience, so the extension identifies your browser for exclusion. Use the browser with the extension whenever you open live prospect Pages.
The exclusion applies to activity from that browser; it does not remove earlier recorded visits. Signed-in Landit visits also have exclusion rules.
