get_template

get_template reads one accessible live template by stable slug. It includes HTML and a public preview URL, so handle the result according to the sensitivity of its content.

MCP

Example prompt

Use get_template for the Landit template with slug [template-slug].
Explain its purpose and the inputs I need to provide to create Pages.

Replace [template-slug] with the slug of the template you want to explore.

Arguments

Name Type Required Meaning
slug String, 1–255 characters Yes Exact slug returned by list_templates.
{"slug": "selected-template"}

Result

The detailed response contains slug, name, shared, template_variables, system_variables, created_at, updated_at, content, og_preview_content, and preview_url. The OG content can be null.

Read the manifest before creating Pages. Unprefixed inputs are supplied per prospect; system paths use their own sources. Generic previews show sample content; Page creation supplies the prospect data, prompt results, and Page owner’s values.

Errors and access

template_not_found means the slug was not found in the current user’s accessible templates. Check the authorized account and list again rather than guessing an internal database ID.

This tool is read-only. Use Landit’s application to create or edit template content. Do not automatically share preview_url when its rendered content is sensitive.
