get_template_generation

get_template_generation reads progress for an existing template-generation run owned by the authenticated user. It does not initiate authoring.

MCP

Example prompt

Use get_template_generation to check this existing Landit template
generation: [template-generation-run-id]. Tell me its current status
and provide the template slug when it is ready.

Replace [template-generation-run-id] with the template-generation run UUID.

Arguments

Name Type Required Meaning
run_id UUID string Yes Public template-generation run identifier.
{"run_id": "00000000-0000-4000-8000-000000000001"}

The UUID above is illustrative. Use the actual template-generation identifier; it is not an enrichment or PageRun UUID.

Result and polling

The response contains run_id, state, and percent_complete (an integer from 0 to 100). A succeeded run with an associated template also includes template_slug.

Poll every minute until state is succeeded, failed, or cancel. These are the tool’s terminal names; do not substitute a different cancellation label. Use the terminal state to determine completion.

On success, use get_template with template_slug if details are needed. On failure or cancellation, inspect the application’s authoring conversation rather than reporting a completed template.

Errors

template_generation_not_found means the owned run was not found. Verify both the account and identifier type before retrying. This read-only tool does not recover or restart the run.
